Sawtooth Log Restoration is familiar with all major brands of stain on the market and we have applied most of them. And while we are familiar with most stain products sold in the country, we don't use most of them either.

Over the years we have had the opportunity to see these stains in action. We have seen which companies have spent more money on advertising and sales than they did in the design and production of their product. We've had time to see what products stand up to the demanding four seasons of Western North Carolina. We will not offer our maintenance program to customers who choose to use most products on the market.

Our stain recommendations take into account many factors. Factors such as initial cost, application procedures, regional weather differences, maintenance procedures, actual weather exposure of the house, porosity of the wood and the overall durability of the stain. All of these factors show us the difference in a stains value over its cost. The question we ask ourselves is 'what is the best product for this particular home considering its particular factors.' When we answer that question we are able to provide a recommendation specifically suited to the needs of the home and the expectations of the homeowner.
